Hijos de padres artistas, Luis Iparraguirre y sus hermanos llevan el arte en las venas. Su abuelo y su padre fueron destacados tejedores de sombreros y canastas de junco.
Luis trabaja hace más de 27 años con sus hermanos Segundo y Ángel realizando esculturas y objetos de arte utilitario en el arte de tallado en madera, inspirados en la iconografía moche, pues a sólo 4 km de su comunidad, se ubica el Complejo Arqueológico El Brujo.
Su arte los ha llevado a recibir distinciones como el Premio Nacional de Innovación en Artesanía, MINCETUR 2016, el Premio Provincial Manos de Oro, Municipalidad de Chócope 2016 entre otros.

Children of artist parents, Luis Iparraguirre and his brothers carry the art in their veins. His grandfather and father were prominent reed baskets and hat weavers.
Luis has been working for more than 27 years with his brothers Segundo and Ángel, creating sculptures and utilitarian objects in the art of woodcarving, inspired by the Moche iconography, because the “Brujo Archaeological Complex” is located only 4 km away from them.
|Their art has led them to receive distinctions such as the National Prize for Innovation in Handicrafts, Mincetur 2016 and the Hands of Gold, granted by the Municipality of Chócope in 2016 among other awards.
